Sharon and Levi
Marienville is the perfect area to ride a horse. The lush greenery, hills, valleys and streams give variety and beauty to every ride. My husband, Tim, and I purchased the farm in 2007 as a second home, and I fell in love with the area immediately. If heaven is like riding from our farm, I'm ready to go!
When not on the back of my horse, I am a music teacher and a musician. I play my flute with the Pittsburgh Philharmonic, teach private flute lessons, and have taught music at St. Luke Lutheran School for 23 years.
We have two children. Our daughter graduated from Washington and Jefferson College, spent 6 months as a horseback guide "in the bush" and on the beach in Port Stephens, Australia, and is currently in her first year of podiatry school . Our son graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy in Northern Michigan as a film major and just finished his freshman at Ohio University.
My favorite things to do are ride my horse, play my flute, spend time with my family -- and show you a great time at Sharon's Horse Heaven!
Tim
Tim's labor of love for the past 3 years has been the renovation of the 100 year old craftsman home on this property. The project started as a little remodeling job but quickly turned into a complete makeover: new roof, new windows, new siding, gutted downstairs, new wood floors, raised ceilings, an addition, updated electric service, cement sidewalk and carport. He was able to improve and update without losing the unique character of the craftsman style.
Tim and his partner have a podiatry practice in Butler, PA called Family Foot Care, with five satellite offices in Western PA. He has been in practice for 24 years.
Tim likes to train bird dogs, hunt. fish. ride horses and ride snowmobiles.
Bird dog field trials
Marienville is the home of the Venango Grouse Trial Club which holds grouse-dog competitions in the spring and fall. This is one of Tim's favorite things to do. The dogs are handled on courses in the Allegheny National Forest and are judged on their athletic ability, their style and their success at pointing grouse. Judges, and occasionally members of the gallery, ride on horseback during the 2 to 10 day trials.

Tim and I would like to invite you to come ride with us.
